Emeline wanted a wallet made from a coupon for which she already had other plans, with very specific ideas about the colors of the complementary fabrics and a desire to use the most noble materials possible.

So, I found an incredibly charming vintage French-made zipper with a cotton ribbon and a coin slider (in francs!) whose color matched perfectly with her scrap.
For the interior and lining, beautiful poplin and padding, both 100% organic cotton, and a washable plastic-free structure.

A little gem that turns heads:

The wallet is perfect; it's just as I wanted, thank you very much. [...] Everyone finds it beautiful, and it creates a small sensation when they notice that it matches the babywearing wrap.

Stéphanie's heart-stopper

Stephanie fell in love with a bag I'd shown her in a discussion around an online LinkedIn challenge, and decided to get one made in her favorite colors for Christmas. After choosing the materials from my stock together, I quickly made it so she'd have it in time under the tree. This fun and exciting collaboration resulted in this daring and classy shoulder bag.

Common questions

Are technical fabrics (sport, dance, running) as sturdy as a classic fabric once transformed?

It depends on the fabric, but in most cases, yes. The stretch and fineness of some of these materials (lycra, softshell or technical jersey, for example) are actually an asset for Kinusaiga panels, and conversely, they're compensated for very well in leatherwork with reinforcements (interfacing, lining), just like any other delicate textile. These fabrics also tend to have excellent resistance to abrasion and friction, which is a real plus for bags and wallets.

We talk it through together during the discovery call.

Is there a right time to start, or can I take as long as I need?

There's no good or bad time, only your own.

For a babywearing wrap, it can be transformed as soon as babywearing ends, or much later, once you've missed it enough to want to see it in a new form. For a loved one's clothing, there's no rush either: some people contact me a few weeks after a bereavement, others several years later. Take whatever time you need, I'll be here when you're ready.
